  3. Substance Abuse

The District addresses these difficulties since the physical, emotional, and economic traumas of the Indigenous People(s) are connected with concurrent disorders like mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, suicidal thoughts, and physical violence issues.

In order to save humanity from these traumas, our goal is to stop someone from partaking in a harmful action. In addition to offering substance abuse recovery in which psychological, pharmacological, and behavioral treatment, the District will also offer case management, resources, and education to those who are battling or recovering from drug and alcohol abuse.

By fusing our customary healing rituals, substance abuse recovery, and practices with contemporary counselling and therapy, the District aims to give a holistic, spiritual, and traditional approach, integrating our traditional healing ceremonies and practices with modern day counseling and therapy.

This comprehensive approach not only addresses immediate symptoms but also empowers individuals to rebuild their lives with dignity, cultural identity, and long-term resilience. Through culturally sensitive care, the District seeks to break the cycles of intergenerational trauma and help individuals rediscover a balanced and fulfilling path forward.

By promoting healing that respects indigenous traditions, we foster a sense of belonging and community connection that is essential for long-term recovery. Our programs emphasize not only the treatment of addiction, but also the restoration of hope, cultural pride, and overall wellness for individuals and families.
