Conservationist
The District is a Conservationist, whose purpose is to apply indigenous land management includes protecting land-based natural resources. In this regard the District’s purpose includes the acquisition and management of real estate to conserve and reserve nature and natural resources. Collectively moving land back to indigenous community control.
Environmental Advocate
The District is an Environmental Advocate focused on protecting the world’s natural resources among its principal purposes and responsible stewardship of the world’s natural resources at the forefront of its mission. Recognizing the vital importance of a healthy environment for current and future generations, the District actively engages in initiatives that promote sustainability, conservation, and environmental education. Through its programs, the District seeks to raise awareness, foster community participation, and implement practices that safeguard ecosystems, reduce environmental impact, and encourage a deeper respect for the interconnectedness of all living things. Environmental advocacy remains one of the District’s principal purposes and guiding goals.
Private Land trust management
The District repatriates lands to and for the indigenous people(s) on Turtle Island into private land trusts. A land trust is a legal entity that takes ownership and possession of, or authority over, a piece of real estate property at the request of the property owner. Like other types of trusts, each land trust’s terms are unique and can be tailored to individual needs.
Land trusts are similar to other trusts but are typically meant for real estate. Land trusts can also hold other property-related assets, such as mortgages and notes.
Any land can be used for a land trust, although they’re mostly used for land conservation or developmental property.
